Chair Person

Melika W. Elibox is the founder of Aiko Farms, she is a focused, driven and passionate Entrepreneur, Farmer and Agroprocessor. Melika W. Elibox is also an Island Innovation Ambassador for Changemaking and Innovation in St. Lucia. She worked with a private company for two decades and has extensive experience in Business Management, Sales and Marketing. She grew up in the farming and fishing communities of Marc, Bexon and Fond St. Jacques and has always had a passion for youth development and empowerment.

Melika’s vision is to impact the youth, her community and her environment positively, living life with a purpose on purpose and fighting poverty through youth empowerment to impact many generations to come. She is a boat owner and Certified Fisherwoman, Aquaculture Farmer, Beekeeper, likewise a Certified Farmer. Melika is the Chairperson for Helen’s Daughters and is also a Board member of the Sea moss Exporters Association. 

Melika’s mission is to target youth unemployment by inspiring and encouraging young people to stay in rural areas and become future farmers, likewise, utilizing and extracting the youth’s talents and converting them into successful businesses, with the support of the resources within her reach.

Helen's Daughters (HD) is a non-profit organization that focuses on the economic development of rural women through improved market access, adaptive agricultural techniques, and capacity-building.
